I have litigated for decades in areas of law including personal injury, municipal law, police excessive force, professional malpractice (legal, medical and chiropractic), employment, civil rights, construction project owner/contractor liability, construction defects and product defect liability. I have taken cases big and small to trial and arbitration, but pride myself on being able to resolve many of my cases to the benefit of my clients before trial or arbitration. In addition, peers have rated me “AV” (the highest rating for legal ability and ethics) through Martindale-Hubbell.
During law school I received my Certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) from Willamette University College of Law’s Center for Dispute Resolution. I have also completed mediation training through the Straus Institute’s intensive “Mediating the Litigated Case” program at Pepperdine Law School, as well as the King County Dispute Resolution Center.
I am a certified Rule 39.1 mediator for the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington’s Alternative Dispute Resolution program.
I conducted my undergraduate studies at Colorado College, and law school at Willamette University College of Law. I was rated a “Rising Star” for multiple years in ‘Super Lawyers’ magazine, a designation bestowed on no more than 2.5% of lawyers in the state.
